about this painting:

Horses are undoubtedly among the most beautiful, powerful and graceful animals on earth. They have been by our side throughout the entire history of the human race. Carrying heavy weight and pulling ploughs, taking warriors to the battlefield and ladies to the park, they still remain our close companions although most of their functions can now be replaced by the latest technologies. If you love horses, you won’t be able to go past Leonid Afremov’s online gallery! This lovely canvas is a wonderful example of horse art created by the artist.

A chestnut beauty

·         The canvas shows a profile of a beautiful brown horse painted in a vivid Impasto manner.

·         The horse seems calm and relaxed, its eye looks softly at the viewer and the black mane lies flat on its neck.

·         The unique painting technique of the artist makes the horse alive before our eyes. Fine textural strokes add volume and dimension to the picture. We can almost see the horse’s head turn to us.

·         We can’t tell for sure what’s in the background: it’s filled with a slew of colorful flakes giving the painting a curious Impressionist twist.

This exquisite horse picture will make a wonderful addition to any interior. Its bright palette will spruce up a pastel-colored wall and look equally nice in both classically and modern-designed apartment. The web store of Leonid Afremov features an immense number of other horse paintings that might seem more appropriate for your design goals. Skip through the gallery and choose the one that will fit perfectly into your living space!

Horses in modern-day life

Although horses aren’t used that much in the spheres of transportation and agriculture anymore, they still play a significant role in today’s life. Here are a few ways to build your leisure around these amazing animals:

·         Horseback riding is a great way to lose weight. One hour of this activity burns over 300 calories. It is also beneficial for the core muscles of your body and improves coordination.

·         If you want to impress your beloved one, there is nothing more romantic than taking her on a carriage ride! This will make her feel like a heroine of a fairy tale.

·         If you are a venturous person, you can try your luck at the races by placing a bet on one of the participants. Who knows, perhaps you return home with a hefty chunk of money in your pocket!

I have purchased 4 of your paintings: 3 Park Scenes and a Ballerina and each one is breathtaking!!. I have given them as gifts to my family and they are all blown away with the colors. I have just purchased another of your paintings and can't wait for it to arrive. Love your work, each piece is unique.

My first Leonid Afremov painting was The Loneliness of Autumn. I literally sat and stared at it for about an hour when I received it, and have been so happy with it ever since! Every person that comes into my home gushes over it, and I have had many friends buy their own after seeing mine, and I recently bought another painting for a friend's wedding. Love him!

I received the most beautiful works by Leonid Afremov's, the "Wailing Wall". The layering and texturing of the magnificent colors, which are unique to Mr. Afremov's timeless paintings, are breathtaking and capturing. His paintings so gently invite you into their world and graciously allow you to be a participant of its story. I am a follower of his beautiful works. Thank you for sharing your light, Sharon Rising
