QUARRY AFTER RAIN treats the scene almost like a remembered fragment. What stands out first is terraced stone cut walls, but the surrounding world of an abandoned limestone quarry with puddles between the tracks is just as important because it provides scale, rhythm, and silence around the main form.

Instead of chasing tiny detail, the painting relies on large directional marks and confident color blocks. The arrangement is wide landscape from the rim with reflective water below, which gives the eye a clear route to follow. Nothing is fussy, yet every scraped edge and loaded stroke contributes to the sense of place.
