I would like to present my hand painted oil on canvas painting (recreation) of the artwork CONVERSATION. I made this piece with the same amount of soul and emotion just like the first original painting. This piece is created with oil paint on artistic canvas using my unique technique of a palette knife. The artwork has texture, you can feel the strokes by touching the painting. By purchasing on this site, you are buying directly from the artist Leonid Afremov. I guarantee your satisfaction and the best customer experience.

The certificate of authenticity will include the name of the owner who purchased the piece of artwork. The certificate is signed by Leonid Afremov. If you buying this painting as a gift, please provide us the name of the gift recipient for the certificate. We can also ship to the address of the recipient of your gift.

about this painting:

The Tales Overheard

A certain (now exceedingly famous) playwright once postulated that human life was nothing more than a tale "full of sound and fury" which could also probably benefit from a more discerning narrator. Given the nature of his trade, the man was no doubt acutely aware of the fact that even such stories remained fascinating for other human beings: mostly as entertainment, rarely - as something more. Till this very day we are unable to resist them; especially if said stories were never meant for our ears in the first place. In many ways, a piece of art - be it an oil painting, a sonnet or a minuet - is more often than not simply a remarkable fragment of something inherently unattainable.

Alley Whispers

"Conversation" offers a tantalising glimpse of such a story. Who are these two? Where are they headed? What awaits the pair beyond the beaconing glow of the street lamp? Every day these unfinished tales and sketches of someone else's "magnum opuses" are washed up on the shores of our lives as flotsam only to be quickly discarded as irrelevant. But what happens to the ones we decide to pursue? They gain shape and meaning, become a part of our personal tapestries.

The oil on canvas can preserve a seemingly random motif, give it context and significance: clothe the uncertain twilight of the rainy evening in the understated teals and rich purples, paint the wet pavement with ochre and carmine. Let our wanderers keep their words unspoken and destination unknown without either rendering the tête-à-tête meaningless or undermining the journey.

Distant Echoes

If any form of art is simply a reverberation of the truth shaped by its creator to be appreciated by the public, then this original painting by Leonid Afremov is no exception. A 30" by 36" canvas is another pact between the artist and the viewer: its ultimate meaning is forged only in such a collaboration.

I've just receaved my wonderful Afremov! No words could describe it :) Delivery has been slower than I expected because of a missing VALID TAX ID or DEFERMENT NUMBER (strictly required for international delivery) but, after I added this info, UPS has been real fast (3-4 working days). Just another detail: I missed internation delivery policy, where is specified 50 bucks added to price. No probl, as I receaved a rolled painting instead of a streched one (plus 25 $ for "register today" offer, total 50$). Chat assistence was perfect, such as mail. Very nice job everyone!!

I received the painting "Cafe in the Old City ". Its Beautiful.. the vivid colors..but just perfect for the scene.. its actually breath taking.. I love the captivating, intense emotions that your paintings catch..I have not been able to take my eyes off the painting. I bought it as a birthday gift for my husband, and he was gaping at it like it was something from an other world. We are really looking forward to purchasing some other works.. like "Realm Of Deer" and "bouquet for sweetheart". We are really a huge fan of your work..
