You can buy wall art paintings online in Leonid Afremov’s gallery. You can choose from cityscapes, landscapes, seascapes, portraits,still life and other wall art paintings. The canvas you’re looking at is called “Coming back…Amsterdam”. This painting by itself, or as a set of two or three pictures with the same theme, can become excellent wall adornments for your home.

About Amsterdam

Amsterdam has more than one hundred kilometers of canals, about 90 islands and 1.500 bridges. No wonder itis also called Northern Venice. Withthe amount of its bridges and the length of its canals it can be compared not only with Venice, but with other European water cities as well. Amsterdam has a unique shape thatlooks like a horseshoe or a crescent. As the city grew and developed new canals were created. It was done in order to regulate thedrainage system and not to make the city look beautiful. Along the most famous canals of Amsterdam you can see the richest and the most magnificent palaces of the city.

You can spend hours walking along busy and noisy narrow streets and beautiful squares of Amsterdam, enjoying:

1.            unique facades of buildings;

2.            very delicious food and beverages as well as dozens kinds of cheese in local small cafes and restaurants;

3.            berthing barges with flourishing gardens on the roof;

4.            ancient churches and lots of towers;

However, you can take a boat and enjoy all its beauty exploring all of the canals. Amsterdam is especially beautiful at night with millions of city lights from lanterns and signs of hundreds of shops, museums, cafes and restaurants.

Afremov’s Amsterdam

Leonid Afremov being a very romantic person decided to paint this fantastic city at night. In order not to miss even one tiny detail, he usually takes a photograph and then paints while looking at the picture.

In this painting we see one of the canals at night as well as:

·                    A beautiful stream of bright light on the right looks like headlights;

·                    Using his special palette knife technique Leonid Afremov made the sky look amazing. We can see millions of brightly shining with different colors stars;

·                    All of the lights around are reflected in the calm water of the canal as if it were a big mirror.

This painting can be an excellent romantic addition to your interior.

I'm from China. Knowing Afremov's works for years, since in college. So thrilled to finally realize my dream. For years, I kept visiting this website, picking fav ones and reminding myself why to save money. I'm working as a freelancer interpreter now, finally saved up enough money and got three pieces (four, including one from Amazon). I've already decided which one to buy next year and started to save more. Also get the Grand Canal, my heart was taken by it. For the paintings, the Eiffel Tower one caught me the first sight while I was a student in college. My ex got me a recreation, painted by him, but cannot compare to this original piece of course. The colour and the style are beyond words. Simply cannot describe the stunning beauty (Maybe in Chinese I can). Anyway, love all landscape pieces. Cannot wait to share with my friends and decorate my room. Best wishes, Mr. Afremov. Looking forward to more pieces.

My husband and I saw Leonid Afremov's art while on a cruise in the Caribbean. We fell in love, but thought to own a piece was unattainable. A year and half later, we finally found him on the internet and purchased our first painting in Spring 2016. We have since waited for his wonderful deals and purchased five more. We are running out of walls to hang the artwork, but have been pleased with every piece. We paid the extra for the gallery stretch and it is worth every dollar. One painting even arrived without being stretched, and after contacting Boris, the team took care of everything from shipping back to stretching to delivering once more. Thank you Mr Afremov for sharing your God given gift with the world. We are proud to display each piece with love.
