This painting looks tridimensional and has a lot of heavy textures

Under The Garden Leaves begins with a crest close-up with iridescence up front, then fades into the wider space of an archway entrance.

Depth comes from overlapping planes rather than fussy detail. Edges are carved with decisive knife marks, giving forms a sculpted clarity. Negative space is used on purpose, letting the composition breathe. Soft atmospheric haze separates planes and prevents the scene from feeling busy.

Across the scene, teal greens with warm gold is layered in knife strokes that catch light like relief. The mood is jewel-toned and calm, with the story implied through light, placement, and restraint.

The design favors paintability: clear silhouettes, big value shapes, and texture that implies detail without demanding it.

Soft reflections appear where they make sense—water, glass, polished stone—kept broad and easy to execute.

Directional knife marks subtly point toward the subject, creating movement even in still scenes.

The brightest paint sits on the focal object, while the background stays looser and more abstracted to preserve depth.
