This painting looks tridimensional and has a lot of heavy textures

Under The Balloons Ribbons frames a fleet of paper boats against a storybook canal town, so the scene reads instantly even from a distance.

Depth comes from overlapping planes rather than fussy detail. Confetti petals adds a second beat of story without crowding the surface. Soft atmospheric haze separates planes and prevents the scene from feeling busy. Light is staged in layers: a bright foreground note, a quieter midground, and a deep receding distance.

Across the scene, sunset gradients with playful accents is layered in knife strokes that catch light like relief. There is a playful and dreamlike calm to it, even where the texture is bold.

Thick palette-knife strokes stay front and center: ridges describe surfaces, and highlights are placed as bold, paintable shapes.

Texture is emphasized through ridged impasto that catches light and gives the surface a sculptural feel.

Directional knife marks subtly point toward the subject, creating movement even in still scenes.

Soft reflections appear where they make sense—water, glass, polished stone—kept broad and easy to execute.

The composition is staged like a set: foreground clarity, midground context, and a distant layer that fades into color.
