This painting looks tridimensional and has a lot of heavy textures

The Stair And Light draws you straight to a bronze sundial, placed close to the picture plane inside an ornate fountain plaza.

Water sparkle near stone adds a second beat of story without crowding the surface. Light is placed in clear value blocks so the composition stays readable. The overall geometry remains clean, even when the texture is energetic. Negative space is used on purpose, letting the composition breathe.

The palette leans into soft white with warm peach highlights, with warm highlights balancing cool cobalt shadow planes. The mood is architectural and serene, with the story implied through light, placement, and restraint.

Every surface is constructed for knife work—layered, tactile, and readable, with reflections suggested in a few confident passes.

The brightest paint sits on the focal object, while the background stays looser and more abstracted to preserve depth.

The composition is staged like a set: foreground clarity, midground context, and a distant layer that fades into color.

Texture is emphasized through ridged impasto that catches light and gives the surface a sculptural feel.
