This painting looks tridimensional and has a lot of heavy textures

The Of Desert Wind frames an ornate lantern against a temple courtyard, so the scene reads instantly even from a distance.

Cobalt tile flashes adds a second beat of story without crowding the surface. Light is placed in clear value blocks so the composition stays readable. Small accents sit where the eye naturally pauses, guiding the viewing path. Light is staged in layers: a bright foreground note, a quieter midground, and a deep receding distance.

The palette leans into warm ochre with deep azure shadows, with warm highlights balancing cool cobalt shadow planes. The mood is historical and luminous, with the story implied through light, placement, and restraint.

Thick palette-knife strokes stay front and center: ridges describe surfaces, and highlights are placed as bold, paintable shapes.

The composition is staged like a set: foreground clarity, midground context, and a distant layer that fades into color.

Texture is emphasized through ridged impasto that catches light and gives the surface a sculptural feel.

Soft reflections appear where they make sense—water, glass, polished stone—kept broad and easy to execute.

The brightest paint sits on the focal object, while the background stays looser and more abstracted to preserve depth.
