This painting looks tridimensional and has a lot of heavy textures

The By String Lights draws you straight to a café table with two mugs, placed close to the picture plane inside a cobblestone market square.

Reflections and highlights are suggested with broad strokes instead of tiny linework. Midground shapes stay simplified and graphic, while texture supplies the nuance. Light is staged in layers: a bright foreground note, a quieter midground, and a deep receding distance. The background dissolves into larger color fields so the main object stays dominant.

Forest greens with golden highlights drives the mood, while soft glow and controlled shadows keep it readable. Overall it reads rain-fresh and luminous, letting texture and color do most of the narration.

Thick palette-knife strokes stay front and center: ridges describe surfaces, and highlights are placed as bold, paintable shapes.

The composition is staged like a set: foreground clarity, midground context, and a distant layer that fades into color.

Directional knife marks subtly point toward the subject, creating movement even in still scenes.

Soft reflections appear where they make sense—water, glass, polished stone—kept broad and easy to execute.

The brightest paint sits on the focal object, while the background stays looser and more abstracted to preserve depth.
