To prove its authenticity, the piece is signed on both the front and back and comes with a certificate of authenticity.

Painting is LARGE 24"x20" (60cm x 50cm) and STRETCHED and READY-TO-HANG.

ONE SHAPE AFTER DARK is built as a deliberately restricted two-color cityscape. Almost the entire scene is carried by magenta, while a strong arched bridge appears in turquoise as the single dominant foreground interruption. This keeps the image visually simple but highly recognizable, with the color contrast doing most of the compositional work.

The background includes an old-town canal rendered in layered magenta tones, while the turquoise focal object remains clean, bright, and easy to identify. Heavy impasto, palette-knife ridges, and wet reflections preserve the Afremov-inspired energy without adding too many competing colors.

This concept works well as a contemporary decorative statement because the city remains recognizable while the limited palette makes the piece feel more designed and collectible than a conventional street scene.

The strength comes from restraint: one dominant background color, one contrasting focal color, and a clear subject close to the viewer.
