This painting looks tridimensional and has a lot of heavy textures

Beneath The Paper Boats focuses on a kite tail crossing the frame first, then lets the eye travel outward across a balloon-lit skyline.

Depth comes from overlapping planes rather than fussy detail. Reflections and highlights are suggested with broad strokes instead of tiny linework. Negative space is used on purpose, letting the composition breathe. The background dissolves into larger color fields so the main object stays dominant.

Turquoise and coral with sunny yellow drives the mood, while soft glow and controlled shadows keep it readable. There is a joyful and airy calm to it, even where the texture is bold.

Every surface is constructed for knife work—layered, tactile, and readable, with reflections suggested in a few confident passes.

Soft reflections appear where they make sense—water, glass, polished stone—kept broad and easy to execute.

Texture is emphasized through ridged impasto that catches light and gives the surface a sculptural feel.

The composition is staged like a set: foreground clarity, midground context, and a distant layer that fades into color.
