This painting looks tridimensional and has a lot of heavy textures

After The Arches frames storm-dark roses on stone against a rose-window façade, so the scene reads instantly even from a distance.

Light is placed in clear value blocks so the composition stays readable. Amber highlights on edges adds a second beat of story without crowding the surface. The background dissolves into larger color fields so the main object stays dominant. The overall geometry remains clean, even when the texture is energetic.

Underneath, midnight navy with pale stone is tempered by subtle neutrals so the focal point stays clear. It feels softly ominous, built more from atmosphere than from ornament.

Knife strokes remain visible by design, giving the scene a tactile finish while keeping details broad and achievable.

The composition is staged like a set: foreground clarity, midground context, and a distant layer that fades into color.

Texture is emphasized through ridged impasto that catches light and gives the surface a sculptural feel.

Soft reflections appear where they make sense—water, glass, polished stone—kept broad and easy to execute.

The brightest paint sits on the focal object, while the background stays looser and more abstracted to preserve depth.
