This painting looks tridimensional and has a lot of heavy textures

The Lawn By Water draws you straight to a tail trailing across tiles, placed close to the picture plane inside an ornamental courtyard.

Midground shapes stay simplified and graphic, while texture supplies the nuance. Golden rim light adds a second beat of story without crowding the surface. Light is staged in layers: a bright foreground note, a quieter midground, and a deep receding distance. Small accents sit where the eye naturally pauses, guiding the viewing path.

Color moves through emerald and sapphire with bronze, building contrast through thick, visible impasto ridges. There is a rich with patterned light calm to it, even where the texture is bold.

Knife strokes remain visible by design, giving the scene a tactile finish while keeping details broad and achievable.

The brightest paint sits on the focal object, while the background stays looser and more abstracted to preserve depth.

Directional knife marks subtly point toward the subject, creating movement even in still scenes.

Texture is emphasized through ridged impasto that catches light and gives the surface a sculptural feel.

Soft reflections appear where they make sense—water, glass, polished stone—kept broad and easy to execute.
