about this painting:
TREES IN PINK
This spiritual technique or practice is relatively new. Not only crazy environmentalists or some strange sect’s members do that. City dwellers, office clerks, tired parents and stressed teenagers – all of them go to a park or forest and hug trees. Probably, you already noticed at some point of your life that after spending your day outside in a park or in a forest you feel much better – more relaxed and energetic at the same time. It was scientifically proved that having contact with these giants positively affect your health, mood and reduces stress. Researchers recommend to do this practice for at least 15 minutes a day, and this can augment your life span up to 10 years. While hugging a tree, breathe deeply and try to forget about all your worries. By the way, it is beneficial for trees too! Scientists noticed that trees that get enough of “human attention” are less likely to suffer from parasites and diseases.
TREES IN FINE ARTS
- All the aspiring artists start from painting nature. Landscapes are rather simple to draw but they always look amazing after you are finished.
- It is almost impossible to create a bad painting, because on canvas water, trees, and grass can be depicted in dozens of techniques. It depends on you what palette of colors to choose.
- One thing that also affects the results are the materials. Water color looks very different from tempera, coal or oil paint.
For example, let us look at this tender and dreamy painting by Leonid Afremov. He is a world known Belarus artist, famous for his expressive manner to apply paint on canvas using a palette knife instead of a brush and his light esthetic artworks.
On this painting, he has chosen pink color as the dominant one on this art work, which is quite an original choice for obvious reasons. The trees on this painting remind us of cotton candy, festivals and summer. The pink and bright yellow combination of colors looks extremely cheerful. Dark shades are present here too but very little, just to give contrast to the main palette. This is why it is probably one of the most positive and sweet creations of art that you have ever seen! Simplicity makes this particular canvas very pleasant for our eyes. There are no unnecessary details that could distract our attention.
