about this painting:
Magic of reality
Parks are a borderland between nature and civilization where field flowers befriend asphalt alleys and blooming trees coexist peacefully with burning lampposts. There is something magical in this strange union of living beings and their steel counterparts. As if life streaming through the green veins of the park might spill into the cold bodies of man-made constructions and make them breathe, feel and shoot new sprouts. They would spread all over the park and, just like spotting a rare flower on the roadside, you would occasionally come across a fragment of railing dodging randomly in the grass, a bunch of wild lanterns stooped over the river or, if you were lucky, an adorable tiny arbor that just came out of the bud and has to grow into a large, beautiful pavilion by autumn.
A story that might have happened
This lonely bench clinging to the soft circle of lamppost light seems to be one of such bizarre hybrids. It lurks in the depth of the park where nobody comes. There even seems to be no path leading to it – apparently, it just chose a snug lawn shut in safely by thick foliage and stroke roots outside human reach. Look how neatly it fits into the colorful bushy background. It has asserted a small patch of the crowded undergrowth and green park dwellers accepted it as one of their kind.
Perhaps, someone will roam here one day and find this lost bench, a strange wild creature leading its secluded life in the warm glow of the lamppost. At first, it will thwart the stranger’s attempts to make friends with it throwing him off each time he or she (or maybe both of them) will try to sit down. But gradually it will get used to his presence and even start to miss him. It will wait for his visit every evening and tell him the stories of the park in its wooden language and take in his warmth as he will sit on it reading, dreaming or simply admiring the night sky… But until then, it remains lonely and untamed, lost among the numerous trees. And the lamppost that blossoms at dusk keeps giving it a cozy electric shelter…
What’s with original oil paintings?
You might wonder why a single word “original” hikes the price of art threefold. Of course, you deserve to know it. There is actually a very good reason for that:
Original canvas is the first copy of a painting created at the peak of inspiration. There might be later replicas of the same picture, but they wouldn’t be the same.
It holds immediate emotions and impressions of the artist. That makes it more expressive and valuable than all copies created at a later time.
Finally, having an original painting of a renowned author is simply prestigious. If you are a serious collector, it will add some bonus points to your reputation.
Leonid Afremov gallery hosts a wide assortment of original oil paintings for sale that can be bought online, quickly and conveniently. Don’t miss the chance to update your interior with an authentic Impressionist painting by this wonderful artist!
