I guarantee your satisfaction and the best customer experience.

about this painting:

HORSE RACE

The thrill of race

Vehemence reigns at the hippodrome: people bet on horses, gaze nervously and shout indiscreetly for their favorites. Everyone is on edge while the horse course is not over and it means they still have chances to win. Suddenly one of the clippers gets ahead: you can hear jubilant exclamations and nervous sighs among the viewers. A person feels practically the same having a look at a famous dynamic horse painting by Leonid Afremov named ‘Horse Race’.

Highbred animals

The horses are the main accent of the picture – they catch the viewer’s attention most of all, although there are also jockeys on the canvas.  As a rule, clippers, taking part in the races, differ from each other in speed, stamina and physical strength. All of them are highbred well-trained animals, although only one can easily outrace the opponents and win the competition. Horse racing would not appeal to so many people, if only fleabags or clippers took part in the races. Therefore, taking into account the difference in animals’ strength, there are diverse types of races:

-    Flat racing

-    Steeple chasing

-    Harness racing

-    Endurance racing

As for the picture, evidently, the depicted horses are in splendid physical shape. A leader is a few steps closer to the finish line, though the agitated rivals are not going to make it happen. Apparently, they breath down the leader’s neck and every second matters in this intense struggle. Judging by the animals’ appearance, they are focused and concentrated; each muscle looks strained, and it seems one can even hear the rattling of their hoofs.

Important details

It is worth discussing the jockeys too. They are portrayed vaguely, their silhouettes tilted forward as they spur their horses to move faster. All of them wear a typical outfits, sun glasses behind which their faces are hidden and protective helmets. The man on the leading horse is painted more distinctively. He keeps a whip in his hand and, apparently, uses it  to spur the horse. As for the colors, the painter chose predominantly brown, blue, red, green and yellow hues. Every image is laconic, though presented explicitly.  Overall, the picture is quite specific and will be appreciated in experts in horse racing or people loving animals will appreciate it to the right degree. Testimonials
We also had great success in buying a painting from Leonid. The painting is great and was delivered well packaged. We've had the canvas stretched and will hang it today. My wife is very excited. Thanks very much!

I've just discovered your art and it is truly amazing. You envision the world in all of these phenomenal colors and feelings. I wish I could see or feel these. I will hopefully one day be able to buy a piece of your work. Until then I will try and find a print. Anyway I just wanted to say thank you for showing me the world from a more hopeful and fantastic view. Wishing you all the best for a Merry Christmas and a wicked new year!
