about this painting:

A woman in a dream

In the painting Flow of Love Leonid Afremov we see a girl sleeping on some sea beach somewhere on a paradise island. Her head is blithely inclined to the left. Her nude body has almost perfect proportions. Her venter seems to be very resilient, it smoothly contracting and finally ending between her wide thighs, we also see tender breasts, impressive chin and wide shoulders as well as narrowed waist painted according to all common views about the perfect waist, and all in all, these parameters correspond to our ideas about an ideal woman. The background of the painting is made in the form of a stream of colors - they move forward from one corner of the painting to another surrounding the woman. In this movement they change their palette, it ranges from bright orange to dark blue and purple. This stream is formed by strokes, approaching the body of the girl they turn black creating a sort of shadow of theу girl’s body. They  smoothly encircles the body of this sleeping creature.

Love  is everywhere

The theme of love is used surely not only by painters but by the people of all the art professions, by poets for example. We don’t doubt that you know many love poems, but the country that can be called the land of poets is Russia. Many Russian poets berimed love in their poems. We made a small selection of them for you so that you remember the best of them. We offer you top 3 the best Russian love poems moving to the best one:

  • 3 place. Nevertheless, a true ally of the bright and very strong feeling of love is the passion that overwhelms a person, plunging him or her into a whirlpool of events and deeds, which sometimes he or she does not find an explanation of, and does not want to. Konstantin Balmont tried to display this all-consuming feeling in his poem "I love you more than the sea, and sky, and singing ...".
  • 2 place. But sometimes the image of a once close and beloved person gets simply wiped from the heart, thrown out to the back of memory like an unnecessary thing, and nothing can be done about it. A similar situation happened to be experienced by Ivan Bunin, who in his poem "We met by chance, on the corner ..." warns all lovers that sooner or later they will be forgotten.
  • 1 place. An example of such an all-absorbing love, which is devoid of conventions and therefore close to the ideal one, can be found in the poem of Osip Mandelstam "I'm sorry that now it's winter ...". Love is, above all, a huge effort to maintain a feeling that can fade away at any time.

Painting as piano solos
I recently move alone and start rebuilding my new home with oak furniture and not colorful decorations. So I decided to only have whites, ochre, black and some greens on my walls. I enjoy solitude, and I love the piano solos of George Winston ("Autumn", "December", "Winter into Spring", etc.) and Christian Lindquist (Solo Piano Dairy). But then I discover the excellent art of Afremov and I saw and listened piano solos coming from them. His lonely paths and empty benches are now part of me. I love them, my few friends love them, and I have no words to describe my gratitude to him.
