about this painting:

The tender twilight

Regardless of whether it is an abstract artwork or a quite realistic painting, Leonid Afremov’s works are always able to inspire you with their unique style, interesting ideas and original images. This lovely cityscape by the master is no exception. Impressive and delightful, this painting affords us an opportunity to look at a quiet and peaceful city at eventide.

What makes this marvellous canvas look so appeasing?

1.            It depicts a small town, and a small town is always a kind of shelter for those who look for quietness.

2.            It depicts late summer or early autumn, the time when the weather is mild and admirable.

3.            The very colours used in this painting by Leonid Afremov are light and soft, so that our eyes cannot but rest looking at this artwork.

4.            Abstract art looks rather disquieting. This canvas is realistic, and its effect is contrary.

Sinking into night

This lovely oil canvas skilfully painted with a palette knife by Leonid Afremov depicts an evening town sinking into night. We find ourselves on some street, with just one person visible in front of us. The dense green vegetation separates the quiet town from the outer world and the high sky, where its deep blue colours are merged with rare threads of clouds and the reddish light of the sunset. A glowing lamp is seen before you, and the very stone buildings seem to be glowing with the yellow warmness. They windows are dark, they roofs appear red, so that the houses look both modest and smart, and the grey monument on the left makes the town older and makes you feel that there is history lurking about the warm stones of the town. How pleasant it is now for us to happen to be here, to become too an unnoticeable part of its history and to be walking along the warm pavement disappearing round the corner of the next building!

This delightful painting will become a perfect decoration of any of your rooms from which you will derive true pleasure when looking at it. Buy this fine cityscape and other pieces of realistic and abstract painting by Leonid Afremov and enjoy them.

I randomly found Mr. Afremov's art while searching around Deviantart. Ever since I first laid eyes upon the bright colors and breathtaking paintings I have found myself obsessed. My searching led me to his personal website. I followed him on facebook for some time too before making a purchase. It all seemed too good to believe. I placed my order, purchasing "Night of Expectations" and "On the Way to Morning". I was overcome with such excitement and eagerly waited until I got the email confirming that they had been shipped. When they finally reached my home I eagerly opened the package and literally sat in front of my treasured paintings and just took in every detail for probably 20 minutes. I was so eager to get them hanging on my wall. They look fabulous! I keep eyeing the site and checking out the deals. I am positive that this will not be my last purchase! Thank you for providing the world with such wonderful and inspirational art! Thank you for making it very affordable as well!

I received your paintings yesterday. I can't stop admiring how beautiful they are. I'm waiting for another painting that was free because I bought 3. I am planning on purchasing more of the STILL LIFE paintings.
