about this painting:

Bewitched park

This nasty season has plenty of mysteries

The year has plenty of good days, but the brightest season is autumn, and no one doubts it. Everything is colored in all possible shades of yellow, orange, red and green. Leaves start finding eternal peace on the ground, forming a natural puzzle that any abstract painter would die for. Those vivid piles attract children that like digging in them, though adults are often waking those kids that are sleeping inside of them and join this lively activity, throwing the leave into the air and laughing heartily. But this is only a little part of fun that you may have during this season.

Autumn has a second name: fall; and this is not only because of leaves on the ground. There are more clouds in the sky that make shadows cover the earth. They are gladly falling on the ground, turning every object that you have seen a thousand times before into something special and enigmatic. Our fast life doesn’t give us much time to discover all peculiarities of the world that surrounds us, but if you put away your work and pay attention to the autumn nature, you will be surprised at the amount of things you have missed.

Autumn rain has the great power on people, though everyone feels it in different ways. Someone can be gloomy because of dark clouds and cold drops that make them miserable. Others are fond of the enchanting music of rain tears and like dreaming in the warm arms of a beloved person. And the most interesting things happen after the nasty weather is finished. Every object is covered with transparent veil, and the roads and paths are turning into a wide river that reflects the surrounding. The colors on the ground seem to be even brighter then in reality, and this wet fairy-tale welcomes everyone, who decided to leave his or her house and set off in search of adventures and new impressions. Who knows what discoveries are waiting for you on autumn streets of your favorite town?

Master of mysterious cityscapes

Leonid Afremov is one of the best modern painters, and he definitely knows how to play with colors, stressing and accentuating this or that detail. He uses his palette knife that helps him to create unique masterpieces alongside with the Impasto technique that is adding a new dimension to his artworks. His paintings will amaze you by their depth and meaningful sceneries.

Leonid Afremov is a master of rainy cityscapes, but those pictures are deprived of sadness or loneliness; on contrary, they are cheerful because of luscious colors. His Bewitched park is very mysterious, and at first you can’t say even why. Dark colors are prevailing in this park, but the canvas doesn’t look gloomy. You can observe this man-made beauty in some kind of mist, and there is something enigmatic in those golden and blue reflections. You can’t see anything similar to this picture in real life, so you can imply enjoy it on this canvas. Look closer: you will find a couple of streetlights that look very simple at the foreground, but are very different on the background. There are so many street lamps that it seems that the whole city took torches and went out to find something. Maybe, the object of their interest is that lonely man, who is standing with an umbrella and looking at those lights? What is he waiting for? Will those lights bring him peace and happiness, or turn his life into a nightmare? You will never know, because in this park that is full of secrets, anything is possible. And the answers to these questions depend only on your choice, and you can change the man’s destiny each minute.

Testimonials
My Preciousssss...
Like they say, too much beauty at once is dangerous...I got Evening Street and my fiancé got Anticipation for Happiness for me. From the moment I unwrapped the paintings, I've been staring at it constantly to the point that people are joking that I'm actually praying to the canvas. Which is in a way true. These paintings are so so so beautiful that I can sit and look at them all day. Each stroke of paint is so precious, so meticulously painted. As an artist myself, I have always adored Leonid's work and grew up literally idolising him. These paintings will be my most precious possession now. Thanks to the Afremov family and the wonderful team for the timely delivery

Looking at the vibrant colors of Leonid’s paintings, I couldn’t help myself but to order a couple during his Birthday Special Deal offered on 12th July 2014. Unfortunately, due to some error I received a package of wrong paintings. However, upon my pointing it out to Boris, this large hearted family admitted the mistake and sent me my correct package. I have now received my correct paintings and they are amazingly beautiful. A very nice addition to my personal collection. I will for sure order again from them as the paintings are worth every single penny. And more so they are amazingly affordable for a painter of international repute. Both thumbs up Leonid for your glittering work and commitment.
