Becoming a professional 

Leonid Afremov was born 12 July 1955 in Vitebsk, Belarus, and died from cardiac arrest on August 19^th  2019. The artist mostly used to depict different types of scapes such as landscapes, cityscapes, and seascapes. He created his works with the help of palette knife technique, impasto technique of postimpressionistic style. His artworks, as well as this amazing sunset painting, are always full of bright strokes with shining and glowing effect. In 2010, the artist moved to Mexico, where he taught aspiring young artists that nowadays are known as Afremov Studio. 

Leonid Afremov wanted passionately to become a professional artist; he got his education at Vitebsk Education Institute. However, the artist was a self-representing person trying to sell his works only in the Internet with a very little participation in exhibitions; and it his children who started selling his artworks. This made the artist famous and well recognized all over the world.
